One of the standardized field sobriety tests is the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test or "the eye" test. The Illinois Supreme Court recently sent a case back to Peoria County to do a "Frye" Hearing to determine if this test would be acceptable in court in the future. Jason Ramos is co-counsel with attorney Don Ramsell on the Defense in this "Frye" Hearing. Once the hearing is complete, the Illinois Supreme Court will take the case back to make the final decision on the admissibility of the HGN test.
